In these evolving times, celebrations are taking many shapes & forms, and we’re here for it. In addition to large scale weddings & events where we perform live, HAY DJ can also provide remote services for wedding elopements, intimate destination weddings, micro-weddings and countless other types of events through our new service HAY DJ To-Go!
HAY DJ To-Go packages consist of streamable, customized playlists programmed by HAY DJ and specifically designed for your unique celebration. Here we offer you a soundtrack that reflects your style and taste, but is rounded out, organized and programmed with our expertise and finesse. Music is such an important element to any successful party- it’s worth investing some time and a portion of the budget on. So if you’re on a tight budget or celebrating in an intimate setting or want a more casual or intimate wedding but still want a soundtrack that brings people together – sets the right tone.
Services offered by HAY DJ To-Go!
Timeline Consultation & Design – event flow and time management are crucial to the success of any event especially when you’re featuring special events. As emcees & entertainers, it’s a required area of expertise for us. You’ll let us know what you’d like to cover throughout the celebration and we’ll come up with a schedule that makes sense & is paced perfectly, and works for both vendors and guests logistically. It will also be streamlined so that designated family members/friends can keep things on schedule with relative ease.
Ceremony – prelude music for guests arrival and ceremony selections. HAY will work with you to bring your ceremony vision to life.
Cocktail – mid-tempo, celebratory music to set the tone for the event- available in a variety of genres. Designed to help break the ice and set a great vibe for the day or night.
Dinner – a more mellow take musically that allows conversation to flow over top but still maintains a romantic sentiment and increases in energy, preparing guests for special events to follow.
Dancing – our favorite part (!)- dance parties include fun, recognizable songs from all relevant decades, organized by beat per minute into tried and tested sets, creating a perfect pace for guests and culminating in a memorable experience that folks will talk about for years to come! We would feature as many of your must plays as possible (given time constraints and dance-ability) and of course respect your do not plays. Designing this portion of the party is a collaborative process and you would have final approval over the playlist.
Brunch/Lunch – typically a more light and romantic take on custom background music- still playful and celebratory- available in several genres and lengths. If we’re talking a drag brunch reception though, let’s dial that waay up!
Casual Backyard Wedding Reception – Background music that is fun, mid-tempo and iconic the whole way through- good time BBQ vibes- we can cover a lot of genres through the course of the day/night culminating in a dance party if desired.
Rehearsal Dinner – typically includes mid-tempo cocktail music for guest arrival, slightly more mellow dinner music, and between 1-2 hours of “party” music, which is lively and recognizable, to get folks loosening up and forging connections. We’re saving the dance floor bangers for the wedding, but we can hit with a lot of great stuff to create a super fun tone for the weekend. When purchased in addition to ceremony & reception music, it allows HAY DJ to curate every musical moment of the weekend and explore several genres- taking folks on a legit musical journey (at the risk of sounding cheesy ahhh.
Anniversary Celebration – this soundtrack is customized to the special events being featured, for instance a meal, toasts and cake cutting or dancing. We would highlight the couples’ favorite artists, songs and genres, creating a very custom experience and a lasting sense of the couple.
Birthday Celebration – from dinner parties, to cocktail soirees, kids and young adult birthday bashes, to backyard BBQ’s- celebrate the guest of honor by featuring their favorite songs and supplementing them with family or friend faves, tailored specifically to your crowd.)
Memorial Services / End of Life Celebration – honor your loved one with a custom playlist featuring their favorite artists and songs, to be played at a remembrance event and/or to be shared as a link with friends and family for posterity.
